Overview

This course is designed for students whom have keen interest especially in the field of communication. Diploma in Mass Communication promotes an effective and creative ways of communication by applying accurate techniques and an enhanced modus operandi. It also helps to prepare them for a wider branch of communication related program such as journalism, corporate communication, public relation and such.

Diploma in Mass Communication is designed to equip students with the vital knowledge of communication and the subjects related to it. Going through the selected subjects, student will find that this program stressed on the practicality of each subject to its core. This course is specifically designed to help to extend the student’s communication ability and to relate their knowledge and skill with the development of today’s society.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

A pass in SPM or its equivalent, with a minimum of 3 credits including English; OR
A pass in STPM or equivalent, with a minimum of Grade C (GP 2.0) in any subject
and
a credit in English in SPM* OR
A pass in STAM or equivalent with a minimum grade of Maqbul
and
a credit in English in SPM or equivalent, * OR
A pass in SKM Level 3
and
a pass in SPM* with credit in English; OR
A pass Certificate (Level 3 MQF) or equivalent
and
a pass in SPM* with credit in English or equivalent ; OR
A pass in Certificate (Level 3 MQF) in Media and Communication or equivalent; OR
A pass in UEC with minimum Grade B in 3 subjects including English; OR
A pass in O-Level with minimum Grade C in 3 subjects including English; OR
A pass in Kolej Komuniti Certificate equivalent to MQF Level 3 in a related field
and
a pass in SPM* with a minimum of 1 credit in English
and
go through strengthening program (if required); OR
Any other recognized equivalent qualification
English Language competency requirements for International students:
TOEFL Score: 500 or IELTS 5.0 OR its equivalent.

Note:
English credit requirements at SPM level for candidates (ii), (iii), (iv), (v) and (ix) can be exempted if the qualification contains
English subjects and their grade is equivalent to / above the credit requirements of the subject at SPM level.

SPM* means pass SPM with at least a pass in Bahasa Melayu and Sejarah
